Ordering

What size should I buy?

If you’re not quite sure which size is right for you, refer to our size guides.

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it, we change our minds too! While we wish could, once an order is placed, we are unable to alter or cancel it at this time. We hope to have a cancellation window one day in the future.

Should the item(s) not work out, make sure to exchange for a preferred style or return for a refund. As a reminder, domestic return shipping is free.

What is the policy for sale items?

All sale items and discounted items are final sale. Quantities are limited and are not eligible for return or store credit. If you have a question about the sizing of a sale suit, please call customer service at +1-949-491-9594 or see our Size Chart here. If the price of an item has changed since you purchased that item(s), the new prices are not able to be transferred to any previous orders. We do not offer price adjustments.

Smartswimsuits.us uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to scramble credit card information so that customer transactions are safe and secure.

How do I use a promo code or merchandise credit?

At checkout, you may enter valid promo codes. Smart SwimSuits promo codes are case sensitive so please be sure you are entering them correctly. After you have applied your promo code, please make sure you see the code applied to your order in the Order Summary section before proceeding to checkout. Only one promotional code can be used per order. After an offer has expired, we are unable to honor the promotion on future orders. Additionally current promotions are unable to be applied to previous purchases.

What if my item is damaged?

Smart SwimSuits guarantees its clothing to be free from damage or manufacturer defect for the first 30 days from date of order as long as you follow your care instructions. Smart SwimSuits are delicate and experience normal "wear and tear" over time.

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please notify us within 5 days of receiving your merchandise and we will happily exchange the unwashed / unworn item for the same item at no cost. 

Shipping across the USA

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

What is the shipping policy?

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that our fulfillment team has received your order. Once your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email notification with your tracking information. Shipping fees are non-refundable in the case of returns.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, we ship all over the world. Shipping costs will apply, and will be added at checkout.

  • We are unable to make changes to orders once submitted
  • All orders are subject to address verification
  • Direct signature is required on orders over $500
  • We do not ship on Saturday and Sundays
  • Ground shipping is delivered by USPS
  • Ground shipping orders can take up to 48 hours to process from when your order is first placed.
  • Please allow time for your order to be received and processed by our warehouse team. From then, ground shipping: 6-10 business days approximately to most major cities.
  • During peak, promotional and holiday periods, processing timeframes may be subject to change and getting your order may take longer to be on the move than expected. Please allow an additional 5-10 days for shipping. We thank you for your patience during these times.
  • Once your order has been shipped, we send you an email containing a tracking number, which allows you to easily track the progress of your order. Please allow 48-hours from the time your order is first placed, until tracking information is made available. As we ship orders Monday - Friday, tracking details cannot be supplied on weekends. If you did not receive an email with tracking details or have questions, please feel free to contact us at: info@smartswimsuits.us
  • For pre-orders once you have secured your pre-sale item, we will ship it to you as soon as it becomes available. As soon as your pre-ordered piece has been sent, you’ll receive an email with tracking details, so you know when to expect it. We will reach out to the email address associated with your order to advise if there are any expected delays.
  • Our orders are shipped via third party warehouses located in Hawaii, Texas and Europe, also our retail store locations. We predominately use USPS for deliveries to major cities. Please note, Smart SwimSuits reserves the right to ship via an alternate courier where required.
  • If you experience a lost, damaged or stolen package, Smart swimSuits will only ship a replacement order. If the items are not available a merchandised credit will then be issued.
  • You have 14 days from when your package shows delivered to reach out regarding a lost, damaged or stolen package.

International shipping

Do you ship internationally? If so, which countries do you ship to?

Yes, we ship internationally to over 100 countries.

What is your returns policy for international orders?

While we hope that you will love your merchandise if for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase of full priced merchandise, we will gladly accept your unworn/unwashed items within 14 days of the delivery date. Sale items and items purchased using a 20% discount code or above, are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for return.

Eligible items must be returned in their original condition – not worn, washed or damaged – and must have all tags and liners attached and returned in original packaging.

Please try on garments over underwear and do not remove the sanitary slip.

Due to health regulations, styles that are soiled, worn, damaged or laundered will not be accepted. It is at Smart SwimSuits's discretion to determine if the returned suit has been soiled. If a suit is determined to be soiled, orders will not be accepted for a return or merchandise credit. Smart SwimSuits cannot send back the order, and will have to damage out any soiled suits.

Are duties and taxes included at checkout?

Some countries require duties and taxes to be paid upon delivery and therefore cannot be calculated at checkout. It will be the customer’s responsibility to pay such fees as determined by local customs authorities.

Are return and delivery free for international orders?

No. All shipping and return cost for the International orders or returns paid by customers. Smart SwimSuits can't offer free delivery or return for International orders.

Is it easy to return items?

If you want to return your item, you need to each us out at info@smartswimsuits.us. Once your return is authorized, you'll receive step-by-step instructions and a shipping label via email.

What items are non-refundable?

Items purchased past the 14 day return policy.

How soon will I get my refund?

Once your items are inspected by the return department, you'll get your refund typically within 48 hours. It may take up to 7-10 business days for the refund to be fully processed by your bank provider.

Can I exchange for a different size?

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Or, you can wait until we get your item back. Item should be returned in their original condition – not worn, washed or damaged – and must have all tags and liners attached and returned in original packaging.

After the inspection we will resend you the new size. You cab exchange your item just one time.

Are return and delivery free for international orders?

About Smart SwimSuits

How do the smart swimsuits work?

Our innovative swimsuits are made of a special mesh-like fabric. Tiny holes allow sunlight to reach your skin. Meanwhile, the constant movement exposes different areas of skin to the sun and hides others which allows you to tan without burning.

You do not need to apply sunscreen underneath the fabric, aiming to avoid burns. Prioritise the well-being of your skin and the oceans by cutting down on the use of sunscreens containing harmful chemicals.

Does Smart SwimSuits's fabric work as SPF35 effect?

Yes. The fabric consists of thousands of tiny holes (pores) that are intertwined with each other and let the sun rays through. Due to this function, smart swimsuits provide the same protection level from the sun, as the medium SPF sunscreen.

Do I need still use sunscreen if I have Smart SwimSuits?

We recommend to use reef safe sunscreen for the open parts of your body. If you apply reef safe SPF35 sunscreen to the open areas of the body, you will get a smooth and soft tan all over your body.

How fast Smart SwimSuits dry?

In addition, this fabric feels more comfortable on the body, allows the skin to breathe and dries faster than its usual counterparts between 5 to 15 minutes on your body. You can stay on the beach longer, your skin will not burn, blush or eventually peel off, there will be no redness or pain. Swimsuits are not transparent, because we work prints carefully, so that they visually create a dense fabric effect.

Do Smart SwimSuits have shape-wear like effect?

Celebrate Your Beauty: Built-in shape-wear features flatter your figure and make you feel fabulous (though we think you are perfect just the way you are, it is nice to have the extra "support" on some days!).

What are Smart SwimSuits made of?

The swimsuits are made of mesh-like fabric. Its composition is: 69% polyester, 31% elastane.

How quickly can I get tanned in a Smart SwimSuit?

The intensity and time of tanning depends on many factors, the main of which is the level of melanin in your skin. 

We recommend using reef safe sunscreen with a higher factor (up to 50) during the first days of sun exposure for areas that are not covered by a Smart SwimSuit. In this case your body have time to get used to tanning, especially if some areas have never sunbathed before. In rare cases, it takes longer than usual to smooth the tan out.

Are Smart SwimSuits transparent?

No, Smart SwimSuits are almost not transparent owing to the density of the fabric and the prints we choose. 

However, the fabric is very thin due to the huge number of tiny pores that allow the sun's rays to pass through and get you tanned. So, the level of transparency may depend on how much it is stretched on the body. 

If you are very nervous and modest, then you should choose a more intense print that visually covers the body and creates an opaque effect. The more solid the pattern, the more transparent it gets.

How long can you stay in the sun in Smart SwimSuits?

Smart Beachwear and Smart SwimSuits with sleeves allow you to stay in the sun for longer amount of time than usual swimwear. However, we don't recommend staying too long in the sun – even with all the protection your body will not be able to withstand general overheating if over-exposed to the sun. 

Smart SwimSuit works like a sunscreen with an average level of SPF 35: for different skin tone (lighter/darker skin than average) there will be a different effect.

How long the Smart SwimSuit last?

Proper care is one of the key factors that affect the longevity of any swimsuit. Normally, swimsuits are designed to be used for one season, but you can double the time by taking proper care of your swimwear. 

Even the most expensive and high-quality models lose their shape and become useless because of the exposure to the effects of UV protection sunscreens and other external factors. 

The main rule to extend the life of a swimsuit: you should never leave it wet and crumpled. Rinse it in cool fresh water and be sure to dry it in accordance with the directions on the care label. Wash it only by hand, in a lightly soapy water at a temperature of 20-30 degrees. Try to avoid contact with the fabric when using sunscreens. 

Also you should have in mind that hydromassage jets and saunas are fatal to the elastane fibers found in a swimsuit.

How do you choose what materials to use?

Each piece we create is the product of years of designing, sourcing, and producing with the highest-quality materials and with like-minded production partners. We thoroughly research and vet our raw materials to make sure they meet our standards, are good for you and better for the environment. In addition to thinking about the impact on people and the environment, we consider factors like availability, preferred fiber content, water and energy input, and GHG emissions.

Where are your products made?

For ethical and mindful approach our swimsuits crafted in Europe, Lithuania.

By consciously choosing products designed for durability, re-usability, and minimal environmental impact, we can significantly reduce our ecological footprint and address sustainability challenges.

What are you doing to be more sustainable?

Trust us when we say our sustainability goals are as ambitious as waking up before the alarm. These goals are designed to innovate and better how we design and manufacture, which means that we: thoughtfully consider and care about the materials we source, the production methods we use, how we distribute and our practices at our headquarters and retail locations.

In addition to our fabric selection and how we manufacture, we are also doing what we can by minimizing production quantities with demand-oriented ordering to minimize unnecessary waste and unnecessary production.
